Gabriela Toscano

Gabriela Toscano is a CASE alumni through the Arch Away program. She graduated from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with Bachelor of Architecture in 2023 and attended CASE Spring 2022 with a special interest in sustainable design and technology. At CASE, she focused her research on vertical farming for food deserts such as Coney Island. She also engaged in new material research from waste, such as using coffee grounds to create acoustic panels. She also assisted in research of the FROG System, a climate adaptive panel that uses passive heating in cooling and does not rely on HVAC systems. After her experience at CASE, Gabriela was inspired to continue a career in sustainable design and focus more on research of new technology for a sustainable built environment.
