Gabriela Toscano
Gabriela Toscano is a Bachelor of Architecture candidate in the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute class of 2023. With her interest in sustainable design and technology she attended CASE Spring 2022. At CASE, she focused her research on vertical farming for food deserts such as Coney Island. Also new material research from waste such as taking used coffee grounds and creating acoustic panels. She also assisted in research of the FROG System, a climate adaptive panel that uses passive heating in cooling and does not rely on HVAC systems. After her experience at CASE, Gabriela was inspired to continue a career in sustainable design and focus more on research of new technology for a sustainable built environment.
