Daniel Rosenberg

Daniel Rosenberg is a designer, architect, and educator holding a Ph.D. and Master of Science (SMArchS) in Architecture and Design and Computation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is the creator of Transformational Design - a design method that combines Mindful Awareness and Physical Computing. His teaching and research work at CASE focuses on the intersection between Architecture and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). In his teaching and research work, he combines digital electronics, user-experience (UX) tools, and architectural techniques in the design of tangible interfaces applied to construction systems and architectural space. His research work has been published internationally, including CAADRIA, CAAD Futures, and Footprint. For the last three years, he has been directing an interdisciplinary design practice in Brooklyn, New York, leading a team of designers, architects and creative technologist from MIT Media Lab in the development of cutting-edge cyber-physical products and interactive sculptures and spaces for clients such as Target, Cartier, Google, Cadillac, and TSG Entertainment.
