Hemp - Bar Works

A getaway tucked away in Mineville, NY
Hemp - Bar Works is the first hemp rebar production center and sculpting retreat located in the picturesque town of Mineville, New York. Previously an old iron ore concentrating mill and tailings facility, the building repurposes old iron ore equipment to process and weave hemp fibers and PLA plastic into hemp rebar, a sustainable alternative to corrosive fiberglass rebars. With the manufacturing center located on the ground floor of the main factory, the upper floors include a rebar art gallery, CBD lounge, and spa experience. Using Phytoremediation techniques, the once toxic tailings mound is now covered in hemp plants, bringing the production facility one step closer to becoming self sustainable. The wellness retreat aims to bring awareness to this new rebar, allowing students and weekenders to take time to sculpt rebar and learn new skills, all while on a relaxing getaway.
